23 June 2007 -- I married Anne. Marriage is grand.

25 June 2007 -- I went to Jamaica for a 10-day honeymoon.

2 July 2007 -- Yahoo! decides to open a new engineering site in Champaign.

12 July 2007 -- I accept a job offer to work for Yahoo! in Champaign.

6 August 2007 -- The Milwaukee Brewers still find themselves in first place (by a single game) in the National League Central. Is this our year? Come back soon, Ben Sheets. We need you.

Ben Sheets is back

The Brew Crew is off and running in 2007. Ben Sheets pitched a complete game 2-hitter on Opening Day to lead the Brewers over the Dodgers, 7-1.

My bold prediction for the Brewers in 2007: an undefeated season. You heard it here first.

This is a phone that is coming out from Motorola in the next couple months. I worked on this phone. There is code that I wrote in this phone. If you use this phone, there's a chance you will use code that I wrote. I made part of this phone. I am in some way responsible for this awesome phone being in the hands of people like you. I am awesome.

Dwelling in God

I began to live as if there was none but He and I in the world.

Sometimes I considered myself before Him as a poor criminal at the feet of his judge. At other times I beheld Him in my heart as my Father, as my God. I worshipped Him the oftenest I could, keeping my mind in His holy presence and recalling it as often as I found it wandered from Him. I made this my business not only at the appointed times of prayer but all the time; every hour, every minute, even in the height of my work. I drove from my mind everything that interrupted my thoughts of God.

Though I have done it very imperfectly, I have found great advantages by it. These, I well know, are due to the mercy and goodness of God, because we can do nothing without Him; and I still less than any.
