Weekend Comebacks
I don't know if anyone watched the Illinois victory on Saturday night game, but it was pretty much the greatest comeback in NCAA tournament history (in my biased opinion). What makes it so amazing is that the comeback happened against Arizona, one of the elite programs in the country with one of the best coaches in NCAA history.
Question: Which part of the comeback did you enjoy the most? My personal favorite was when Illinois was down eight with 58 seconds left and Head drilled a three from about eight feet behind the arc.

Clever, my man, I like that link.
My favorite part of the Illini game was D Will's trey to tie it all up. It was set up by a gritty steal by Black Jack Ingram from Channing Frye who had been destroying Illinois' big men all night. Dee Brown got the rock, and right away, looked for my guy Deron. Ingram with the pick, spot up, feet set, follow through, CASH. I was jumping up and down like a fool.
I gotta go with Jack "the professor" Ingram with the huge and incredibly unlikely steal....I am a huge fan of jack though. what is up with no love(or pt) for chainsaw the whole game? I mean he is the tallest player in illini history...
I would have to say it was knowing Jeremiah Cox will have to put up with Illini Nation for one week and not have Villanova (who did have a heck of a showing and a heart-breaking loss on Friday) to fall back on. About face Illini, we're march'n to the arch...
Deron's trey to tie was the best moment, no question
And also, in my own warpped little mind, I just pictured Luke Walton crying, and that was enough for me
I tried to comment on this the other day but your blog was so dang slow that it wouldn't let me. Must be due to all the insane amount of traffic you're undoubtedly getting at bensheets.
I was going to mention the whole Luke/Bill Walton thing, which is a story I will tell until I am old and gray. I will also refer to the current Illini basketball players (current, as in the future, say in 2060) as a bunch of "whippersnappers."
It was our turn to beat Arizona.
